Kristi was looking for a photographer to collaborate with, so I answered her call. She works as a visual merchandiser at a fashion shop, but she's more into home decor. She lives in a cute little loft in downtown St. Paul, loves to collect vintage things and rearrange them in a pleasing way. So she asked me to come and take some photos. I eventually presented my photographs to her and she did some more styling. The pictures below are from two different days of shoots, so some of the objects may appear more than once, but styled in a different way. Check her website here and her blog out here.
This weekend i spent some time at the VFW in Uptown for the 1st Annual Handmade Heartfelt Artisan Fair. It was a lot of fun hanging out with friends and meeting some new people. They were serving up Bloody Mary's but since I'm detoxing for the spring right now, I wasn't able to enjoy a drink. What I did enjoy, were the crafts. I came there on a budget, purchased and bartered with some crafters. I bought a beautiful leather necklace from Witt and Lore, honey from Beez Kneez (they even deliver to you by bicycle), a cute neon yellow bag (great for night biking), from Katrina and a fun feathery headband, to name a few items. I was able to take a few snapshots of a few artisans and lucky for you, if you don't want to wait until next year, I've link their pics with their website. Still updating a few vendors, so keep checking!
Rachel's work will also be displayed at the Spyhouse Coffee Shop in August 2011. To keep updated on that, Click here.
Lisa wasn't selling here art at the craft fair, but was a sponsor through her record shop, Yeti Records. Lisa's art is amazing, she will be displaying her art at the Spyhouse Coffee Shop sometime in July.
